Stephanie is not only the owner of The Flip Zone but she helps coach all of the competitive gymnastic teams. She was a successful college gymnast at Ball State University and has extensive experience coaching gymnastics at the club and high school levels. Her gymnastics career spans nearly 34 years. Aside form being a gymnast, she has served the sport as a coach, judge, meet director, volunteer and clinician. She has a passion for helping children achieve their potential and makes sure they have fun along the way. Stephanie is the very proud mother of her son Spencer and her daughter, Shaylee. When not at the gym (which isn't often), Stephanie is golfing!
Stephanie is a graduate of Ball State University where she was a four year varsity letterman and scholarship recipient for Gymnastics. She received a B.S. in Exercise Science and minored in Counseling Psychology. During her high school and collegiate gymnastics career, she set and broke school records and was a two- time IHSAA State Champion. In November 2009, Stephanie was inducted into Elkhart County Sports Hall of Fame. Strout has coached in the Midwest over the past 20 years and founded The Flip Zone in January 2006. Being involved in gymnastics since the age of 9, as a gymnast, judge, coach, and parent of a gymnast, Stephanie has been able to develop a unique training system for her athletes in all programs at The Flip Zone.
Michelle Hart coaches beam for levels 6-10.
Shelly has been coaching gymnastics since 2002 and was also a competitive gymnast. She has a Biology and Psychology Degree from Purdue University. Shelly is married to Dominic and has 3 children. Shelly is also the Director for Plainfield Optimist Cheerleading.
Irving is the Director & Head Coach of the Flip Zone Competitive Gymnastics Program. He brings many years of coaching & judging experience to Indiana & Region 5 as the former National Team Director and Head Coach of El Salvador Women's Artistic Gymnastics. Irving has both international (FIG) and USA gymnastics coaching credentials and has coached several accomplished gymnasts in his native country of El Salvador. We are very excited to have him direct and train our gymnasts and coaches as we develop our program into one of the top competitive gymnastics programs in Indiana and Region 5!

Coach Olivia Arkins has been involved in The Flip Zone since she was 3 years old. She has done it all; preschool, competitive team, and now team coach! She has worked with recreational classes, preteam, and levels 2-4. Olivia competed with TFZ through level 8 then became an assistant coach. Her team came home with many 1st place banners this past season! With Olivia’s help, the level 3 team reached their highest team score yet. Her favorite part of practice is conditioning and summer training because she loves pushing the gymnasts to be the strongest they can be.

Jana Cutler coaches the Xcel Bronze Team. Jana Cutler has a Bachelors in English and a Masters in Business Leadership. She is a corporate compliance officer by day and a certified USAG coach by night. She has a passion for teaching, especially fitness. Throughout the years, she has taught classes and teams at The Flip Zone, currently coaching Xcel. She enjoys running and random fitness classes in her own personal free time. Her daughter is a level 10 gymnast at The Flip Zone and helps teach when her schedule allows with her training. Jana hopes to instill a love for the fun of fitness at all levels for a lifetime.

Averie is our Level 4 Team Coach. Graduated from Avon Highschool. Been involved in the sport for 6 years at The FlipZone. Started gymnastics as a level 4 and was the state bar champion and AA Runner up. Skipped levels 5 and 6 and competed 7 becoming the Region 5 Bars champion and AA Runner up. Level 8 Regional AA champion and Vault champion. Competed level 9 getting 3rd on floor at state then took a year off to help coach the level 3’s and 4’s. Now competing level 9 again and coaching the level 4 team who were 2nd as a team at state. 1st year being a head coach of 11 girls earning state titles 1 vault champion, 2 Bars champions, 2 beam champions, 3 floor champions, 2 All around champions, 2 vault runner ups, 4 bars runner ups, 1 floor runner up, 2 AA runner ups.
Michelle Dayhuff has years of experience working as a preschool teacher and in preschool administration. Her and her family have lived in Plainfield for 2 years and enjoy getting outside and riding bikes in their free time. In addition to being a stay at home mom and working at The Flip Zone, she also owns a photography business.
Megan Guptill grew up in Indianapolis and graduated from Cathedral High School. She majored in Elementary Education with a History minor from Hanover College (in Southern Indiana). Upon graduating with honors she moved to Plainfield. She traveled the country for two years as a National Consultant for her sorority, Chi Omega. She then taught sixth grade, fifth grade, and five years of Kindergarten at St. Susanna School. This is her eleventh year at SSGNL and tenth as the Director. She has 5 children, Caroline is 14, Benny is 11, and Alex and Nick are both 10, and Oliver Zane (Ozzy) is 4. She lives in Avon with her husband and a dog. Life is crazy at their house but she loves it!!
